Allied Health Professionals Suffolk (AHPS) is proud to be a social enterprise organisation. Founded in 2011 we have recently celebrated our 11th birthday and look forward to the future. As a social enterprise we are managed by our people, for our people, reinvesting surplus into the services we deliver and the communities we serve.

We are a clinically-led MSK specialist provider delivering NHS-funded MSK services across a large part of the East of England through NHS contracts in partnership with our colleagues in community and hospital healthcare organisations.

We deliver a range of services through end to end MSK pathways, including hands-on MSK physiotherapy and specialist clinical assessment services from more than 20 clinics across Suffolk. We also deliver First Contact Practitioner physiotherapy to the vast majority of GP practices and all of the Primary Care Networks in Suffolk. Our clinical triage and patient co-ordination services (referral and booking management) support patients in Norfolk, North East Essex, Great Yarmouth and Waveney and even some areas of London.

We employ over 100 clinicians based in Suffolk and use a largely face to face clinical delivery model, using video consults and telephone consultations to support care where clinically appropriate.

Our service model is founded in self-management and the self-facilitation of health improvement. We have a unique, bespoke self-referral portal, allowing our patients to access support and early advice from the very beginning of their journey and a website which encourages self-management prior to self-referral.
